Hi, I'm Donna — and over the years I've built businesses from scratch across two countries and several completely different industries. A party shop. A driving school in both the UK and Western Australia. A pet services business on both sides of the world.
Each one built on passion, hard work, and very little budget for promotion. So I did what most small business owners do — I figured it out myself. Self-marketing, hand-written ads, word of mouth, showing up and hoping people would find me.
Back in 2005, I finally handed that part over to the professionals. I paid a web agency to get me noticed online. They took the money, built something that looked the part, and delivered absolutely nothing. No visibility. No enquiries. No results. Just excuses.
I never forgot how that felt. Not just the wasted money — but the wasted time, the missed customers, and the realisation that they simply didn't care as much as I did. Because it wasn't their business on the line. It was mine.
So I kept learning. I taught myself what actually works, what Google actually wants, and why so many brilliant local businesses stay invisible despite working incredibly hard. Today I combine that real-world experience with the latest AI tools to get results that used to take agencies months — in weeks.
That's why I started Found First. To be the person I wish I'd had back then. Someone who has genuinely been in your shoes, who knows the frustration of being overlooked, and who has the skills and the drive to actually get you found.
